Flowers - Bluebell

Bluebells grow from bulbs. There are not the wild British bluebell, but the Spanish bluebell, a garden variety, which is bigger and not so delicate. These flowered in April.

In my garden, bluebells are very nearly classified as weeds. They turn up all over the place, and are firmly removed. However, I have one area where I move all these bulbs to, and in some years, they give a fine show of blue. (Other years they are overwhelmed by weeds, and sulk when dug up by mistake during weeding!)
