Flowers - Campanula
Campanula are perennials. These flowered in May and June, but there was also a second flowering in the autumn. The name means "little bell", describing the flowers. They tend to be pale mauve or white.
There are different species of Campanula, and some are low growing plants with much smaller flowers. Then there are the plants with tall spikes.
These originally grew next door, but seeded in my garden, and then died out next door. I haven't seen it for a year or two, so was glad when it reappeared.
Campanula covers a wide variety of different plants. The bottom photo is a small campanula.
