Flowers - London Pride
London Pride is a perennial. This flowered in May. The photo shows before it is fully out. The flower stem grows longer, with the flowers at the top.
My mother told me that this flowered among the ruins of the Blitz in London during World War II. So it became a symol of survival and hope. I don't know if that story is true, but it ought to be!
