Flowers - Montbretia

Montbretia is grown from corms. These flowered in July.

Montbretia are usually orange. This splendid red variety are, I think, a freebie given when ordering another plant. And I think the other plant didn't survive... These are good spreaders, in a civilised way.

It is useful as it flowers in summer, when my flower garden starts to look empty.
