Flowers - Rose - Rosa Mundi

This rose is called Rosa Mundi.It is a single flowering rose, flowering May-June.

Despite its rather startling stripey appearance, this is an ancient rose, which is why I got it. The name means "Rose of the World" and refers to Mary, mother of Jesus.
