Flowers - Tulip
Tulip are grown from bulbs. These flowered from March to April. There are several varieites which flower at different times.
Tulips are usually thought of as very formal flowers with severe shapes. There are certainly tulips like that, but there are a lot of different varieites, and I prefer the others! These were bought from Bloms. Some are small, early tulips. Some are multi-coloured. But my favourite are the parrot tulips, with feathery petals. They can have more than one colour. As they flower, they get more and more weird in shape! We call them Triffids.
