Plymouth - North west of centreClick on a photo for a large version. |
We walked to the north west of the centre, going through Drake's Circus, a shopping centre. This ship is outside.
This is the top of "Riding a Wave"
Entrance in North Hill. A loggia and ornamental fountain was built to commemorate the importance of the creation of the city reservoir and as part of a small public park. The loggia was constructed in 1754 and the fountain in 1874. The reservoir walls are behind the loggia. The reservoir has been fed by leats (channels) carrying water from Dartmoor since the 16th century.
Outside Drakes Place Reservoir is what used to be a drinking fountain.
"The Man Walking Out Of A Wall" is on the wall of Charles Seale Hayne Library, University of Plymouth
Civilian War Memorial - featuring a mother holding up her baby, also in the University of Plymouth.
