Baby's hat with lace
This baby's hat has insertions of lace which are all the same pattern - obviously cut from the same strip. The second picture shows two pieces stitched together to make one of the bands. There is a network of small tallies and a cloth footside.
This was in a sewing box of my aunt, Doris Dibblee (nee Mitchell), 1896-1968. I don't know where she got it. She did not have children. It may even be her own hat as a baby!
