English Maltese lace mat

This mat has a Maltese cross in the centre, but it is made of cotton rather than cream silk, so it may be English Maltese. It is made of two pieces stitched together, an outer piece with the flowers and leaves, and a central piece with the Maltese cross.

The Maltese cross is in cloth stitch. Then there are leaves made from tallies surrounded by Torchon ground. The edge has flowers with tally petals.
