The Bucks Point ground is made in a different way to bobbin lace. There are vertical threads running down the lace, and threads meeting at the stitch. But here, there are pairs cross over rather than a single thread. This means that there are triplets of threads rather than pairs. |

In the footside, there are different thicknesses of thread, with a single thick passive thread, a slightly thinner edge thread, and pairs of thinner threads acting as passives. |

The picots are pairs of untwisted threads. You can see how they are pulled through other threads, and not secured at all by any lace stitch. |
