Machine lace edging

This is an imitation of a bobbin lace edging (bought new in 2014 for £4.50 a metre). But various parts are made in a different way, which shows that this is machine lace.

Reasons why this is machine lace

Machine lace - half stitch

Most of this edging is very convincing. However, the passives of the footside go under-and-over together, instead of being woven. Also, the cloth stitch is too dense, with the workers doing more rows than bobbin lace would.
