Maltese lace - edging
This Maltese lace sample is made, as usual, from cream silk
It has the Maltese cross in cloth stitch,and flowers with petals made from tallies, and there are other clusters of tallies. The trails are worked in cloth stitch, and some plaits or twisted pairs connecting things.
