Machine lace mat

This is Leavers lace from the Lace Centre, a shop selling machine lace in Nottingham, bought new in 2007.

This is a good imitation of a bobbin lace mat, but various parts are made in a different way, which shows that this is machine lace.

The middle part of this mat will have been cut out of a larger piece, and the trim sewn on to neaten the rough edge.
