English Maltese edgingThere are flowers with tally petals, surrounded with cloth stitch trails. The areas are joined together with plaits, or a single twisted pair. There is a doubled twisted footside. This lace came from my grandmother, Violet Dibblee (nee Geddes) 1871-1961. She was in Malta from 1908 to 1911, but I think this is English Maltese. It is made of white cotton. | ![]() |
