A heart headside is worked exactly the same as an ordinary fan. The only difference is that the pattern has the pins in a different place, along the edge. See pattern 86.

Working: I am not going to describe working a heart headside in detail. Click here to see how to do an ordinary fan, and work the heart the same! I suggest that you do some ordinary fans first before attempting this.
I thought that I'd invented this heart headside, but I've seen it in a pattern somewhere. You can work it all in the same colour, or you can colour it with the workers, as for a normal fan. The cloth heart does tend to have a concentration of passives near the centre of the heart, so perhaps the half stitch version works better.
This heart headside is nothing to do with a normal heart shape.
