
Simple plaited headside
This is a simple headside which can be shaped either by the plait going round a pin, or by a couple of picots. See pattern 233.

Working: Remember that a thick line above is a plait, with 2 pairs, or 4 bobbins. Where one line crosses another, you should work it in a lazy join. Where a plait meets a pin by itself, work it either as a picot or just put the pin in between the two pairs at the correct point. Where a plait meets a pair from the rest of the lace, work them in a join - 2 pair + 1 pair.
The Dutch for this is Vlecht rand.
