
This was an attempt to reproduce the needlepoint style punto in aria.

There is no link to a headside as this one was invented for this pattern. It is trying to reproduce the pointed triangles that adorn punto in aria. This is hard to do in strip bobbin lace, as you have a constant number of threads across the lace, so how do you cope with the difference between the point and the narrow bit? Here is one idea of mine - to step the threads in the headside, so each pair goes one pin hole further, but is supported by the previous pairs. The principle works, but the points are floppy, and, quite frankly, it's a boring pattern!
