I don't know exactly what a firebird looks like! This came after pattern 67.

Pattern:

Bobbins: 15 pairs + 3 gimps
Style: Bucks Point
Stitches:
half stitch and twist
twist
cloth stitch
cloth stitch and twist
picot
gimp
twist pair
Details:
Bucks Point net (grey)
solid cloth stitch (red)
honeycomb (green)
picots and passives headside (grey)
footside without passives (grey)
Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
This has three gimps, treated more simply than the peacock, but still not working very well. Each gimp is a different colour on the pattern. In a way, the gimps provide passives for the footside.
The body of the firebird is worked in cloth stitch. The picots and passives headside is cloth stitch, also a trail, with more or less passives.
