Pillow: domed, flat back, on a base, with drawer at back, sloping towards lacemaker, on lacemaker's lap.
Bobbins: with bulbs on end, on pillow, reasonable number
Comments: A small genre piece by Dou could be sold between 500-1,000 guilders, where 500 guilders was approximately the price of an average house. The number of bobbins is enough for them to start bunching up together.
Gerrit Dou painted more than one lacemaker.
