I think that these museums have bobbin lace or equipment in their collections. They may not necessarily make it a big feature, or even display it (as displays change). So these may be worth trying if you happen to be close by, but if you are making a special journey, I recommend getting in touch with the museums themselves to see if it is worth it. Bucks County Museum in Aylesbury - Bucks Point
Cowper and Newton Museum in Olney, Bucks - Bucks Point and Bedford lace
Norris Museum, St Ives, Cambridgeshire - Bucks Point style lace
Salisbury Museum - Downton lace
Allhallows Museum in Honiton - Honiton lace
Museum of Cambridge (formerly the Folk Museum) - small display of lace equipment
The Higgins in Bedford has a collection of both Bucks Point and Beds lace, but I don't know if it is on display
V&A (Victoria and Albert) in London - various lace, not always on display
Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge - various lace, not on display
Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter - I think this has lace
Lace Guild Museum in Stourbridge, West Midlands - limited opening
