Iron compounds

Iron is the most useful metal. It is strong, can be sharpened, is easy to work and iron ore is common. Think how many things are made of iron or steel. It gets used in building as well. Reinforced concrete has steel reinforcements inside, which make the concrete far stronger. Without steel, we couldn't have sky-scrapers.
