![]() Iris QuartzQuartz quite often has rainbows in. Citrine seems to be good at this. Iris was the goddess of the rainbow, so it is an obvious name. This specimen shows how quartz crystals can twin. In fact, you often get many crystals all growing side by side (see amethyst). Sometimes, one crystal gets split off to sell, like the Smoky Quartz. |
![]() Aqua auraThis is called aqua aura. It is not a natural colour. It is quartz heated with gold dust. This produces a lovely blue colour. |
