2023 - Art benches
This is a recent idea, starting in 2023. The benches are in Christ's Lane, an old passage reopened some years ago, when they demolished Bradwell's Court. It runs roughly between the bus station (by Christ's Pieces) and Great St Andrews.
The benches have artworks set into the back. there are two grander benches, and two simple ones, and one that isn't a bench at all! the first photo gives an idea of what they look like, plus a description.
I'm not sure when these started, but I took the photos in Feb 2024.
