Flowers - Poppy

Poppies are an annual. This flowered in June and July. They are self-seeded, as I have never sown seed, or bought a plant. I don't know where they come from!

There are different types of poppy. This is the normal garden poppy, or opium poppy, but you don't get any opium out of British grown poppies! Calfornian poppy, Welsh poppies and corn poppy also flower in my garden.
