Honiton lace - collar
This was bought on eBay with a seller's description: "A Victorian Honiton Lace High Collar With Original Velvet Ribbin - Hand Made".
There are rose motifs similar to the single motif, but simpler, as the petals and other shapes are only made of cloth stitch. There is the occasional area of half stitch. They are surrounded with gimps. The centres have one or more tallies. The motifs are joined with legs.
This piece is too big to fit in my scanner (which is how I am reproducing the lace) so I can only show part of it on the right, but it is symmetrical. The entire piece is photographed below to show its shape.
