Honiton shape

This shape is roughly circular but with a point.

There are rose motifs similar to the single motif, but simpler, as the petals and other shapes are only made of cloth stitch. They are surrounded with gimps. The centres have one or more tallies. The motifs are joined with legs decorated with picots.

This lace came from my grandmother, Violet Dibblee (nee Geddes) 1871-1961.
