This is nothing but a simple piece of rose ground. The different colours do not show different stitches. They represent different coloured threads. This shows how the threads travel in rose ground, which is interesting in itself. But it happens to make a gold ring, so could be used for a Christmas decoration. The gold and silver used here are perhaps too close together to provide a good contrast - you may prefer a different colour for the background, perhaps dark blue or red. You must start the coloured pairs at the right starting pins to get the correct effect.
