As usual, you need to work down to the dark grey line, then turn the pillow for the next bit. The cloth zigzag are coloured by the workers. It is quite easy to take the coloured pair from one section to the next (somewhat to my surprise!)
The main surprise was how square the whole pattern ended up (hence the name) and how the line of Torchon ground stitches which were just filler ended up almost as a feature. But that's lace for you.
