I made this pattern in the style of a piece of lace (see below) in the Norris Museum in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. This used to be a lacemaking area. Sorry about the quality of the photo - it was behind glass (and I'm not a very good photographer!) The original has thicker thread (or a smaller scale pattern).
