I wanted to try a honeycomb zigzag surrounded with a gimp, and Bucks Point net. I did four designs and couldn't see which I preferred, to did all 4! They are pattern 357, pattern 358, pattern 359 and pattern 360. Oddly enough, the bigger patterns are easier, as you do chunks of honeycomb, then chunks of Bucks Point (although there is always the occasional stitch to interrupt the flow) while the smaller patterns chop and change so much you can easily get confused.
Pattern:
Bobbins: 10 pairs + 4 gimp
Style: Bucks Point
Stitches:
half stitch and twist
twist
gimp (pink)
slip knot
Details:
gimp footside (pink)
Bucks Point net (grey)
honeycomb (blue)
Description:
This pattern has honeycomb down the middle and Bucks Point net at the edges, with a pattern made by the gimps.
The footside is a Winkie pin footside, but with a gimp rather than the normal pair/s of passives. These gimps will need to use a slip knot to hang from a pin, as they are single bobbins rather than a pair.
