Description:
Torchon lace has lots of diagonals, and these tend to produce triangular gaps near the edge. All headsides fill this gap, and you can use grounds to do so. Triangles are another way to do this.
There are several different types of triangles. This one is the simplest. It is similar to a fan, except it has a straight edge rather than a curved one.
You can work this pattern all in one colour. However, if you start the colours as shown in the pattern, then you get the effect shown in the photo, which highlights the rose ground.
