Description:

Hearts are a bit like diamonds and a bit like zigzags. One peculiarity is that, like zigzags, you can't work the whole thing at once. Work half the heart. Then work the bit to one side, to get the pairs to work the other half. The description explains it in more detail.
When starting the heart, you have a red pair and a background pair. Make sure that the red pair are the worker pair, and the background the passive pair, or you will end up with a heart in background colour! You will find that means that the first row ends up going different ways for alternate hearts.
