Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
This is an attempt to create a twisted rope effect in Bucks Point. It is a common Torchon effect. The stitches are not hard. The only non-standard thing is that I have introduced an extra pair on the left and right (when you work it). This makes the solid cloth stitch and half stich at the edges thicker. If you don't do this, there are only two passives, which can look very thin. (But you could do that, and then the bobbin count would be ten pairs). These extra pairs mean that you need to take two pairs along the edge from one solid bit to the next, so I used a plait there.
