Description:

Click on the links above to see how to do the different stitches and techniques.

I have used the plaited rose ground for the rose ground (using two cloth stitch and twist on top of each other for the crossovers - this makes little plaits). This makes the roses look more rounded, with a slightly wider gap round.

The passives of the footside are a different colour (and the start is a pseudo-footside). The triangles have the worker pairs as a different colour as well. The workers for the triangles are introduced at the top of the line of triangles as an extra pair. Puut a pin in at the top, and hang the coloured pair from it, then work it across the pairs coming in from each side for the first row of the triangle. Putting an extra pair in means that the triangles have more pairs in, which helps in bulking them out. Tie off the workers at the bottom of the triangles.
