
Cloth stitch is like weaving. I wondered if you could get an effect of tartan.
Pattern:

Bobbins: 12 pairs (6 of each colour).
Style: Torchon

You need to start the coloured threads in the right place, as marked.
Each diamond is half solid colour, half a mix. I've marked the passives where the colours differ. The main trick is to choose the correct coloured worker pair at the start of each diamond. You also need to be careful at the bttom of the diamond, to make sure that the pairs go in the right direction. You may not be able to be the final clock stitch after the pin.
