Description:

Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.

This is not really a Bucks Point pattern as it has no gimp (which would normally surround the flower). It also has no picots along the edge, as it is an insertion, so has footsides both sides.

This was my attempt to make Bucks Point flowers. I think they look like daisies! Each flower has a centre, and six petals of contrasting stitch. So there is either cloth stitch petals and half stitch centre, or half stitch petals and cloth stitch centre. You can see that on the pattern, the extra pinholes are marked on the vertical edges of the petals of the flowers. I worked out half way through that these might be necessary. I think they certainly are for the cloth stitch petals (which in the photo look quite good). The left flower with half stitch petals has no extra holes, and the right flower with half stitch petals does have the extra holes. You can see the effect. Perhaps it is better for half stitch petals not to have these extra holes!
