Description:

Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. The headside shapes are joined with little plaits to give a stronger edge.

The start of the lace in the photo is one pair from one edge working across all other pairs in cloth stitch and back again, to give a line as a start. You can leave this out if you want.

This pattern tried to introduce better leaves. The diamonds are OK, but the zigzags are supposed to be the stems joining leaf and flower, and it doesn't really work! The flower petals are too much in two rows as well.
