These patterns are for people who want to learn how to make Bucks Point bobbin lace. There are different styles and traditions of bobbin lace. Bucks Point lace is made on a hexagonal grid, which makes it more suitable for flower-like patterns. However, it tends to "muddle up" the bobbin pairs, which can make it harder to check that you haven't made a mistake.
The patterns have numbers on them. These are in the order that I designed the patterns, and have no other significance!
Introduction to Bucks Point - Bucks Point designs
These are not proper pieces of lace. The plait will start you using bobbins. The samples give you practice in some stitches.
Cloth stitch 6 pairs
Bucks Point ground 8 pairs + 2 gimps
Bucks Point net with holes 8 pairs + 2 gimps
Honeycomb sampler 8 pairs + 2 gimps
Kat stitch sampler 8 pairs + 2 gimps
Bucks fans 9 pairs
