There are some grey lines joining the zigzags. The pairs need to be twisted between the pins. Sometimes this happens naturally as they leave the previous shape. But if not, give them an extra twist.
This is a sampler of various different types of ground. They do not fit particularly well against a footside, so there is the occasional Torchon ground stitch to fill in holes. There is a start made of two diagonal lines, so starting false pins are provided for you.
