Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
This is a sampler, to try out cane ground, and compare it to two versions of rose ground. The top version uses half stitch, pin, half stitch at each pin and the bottom half does cloth stitch and twist, pin, cloth stitch and twist at each pin. Both types have half stitch, pin, half stitch cross-overs.
The cane stitch has the same pattern of stitches as rose ground, but just a single pin in the middle rather than the four pins defining the corners. This version of cane ground has every stitch the same - all half stitch, pin, half stitch.
