Le Pompe is a mid 16thC lace pattern book. This is my attempt to reproduce one of the patterns.

Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace. The pairs going round a pin, such as the edge, are twisted an extra time. At certain points there are short plaits, just before and after where the central part meets the edge parts.
