Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
The odd feasture of this pattern is that it has two headsides! This was unexpected when I designed it, but Bucks Point is not really my area of expertise. I put fans between the flowers, to look like leaves, but I found that this meant they needed more pinholes along the edge (which are now on the pattern above). All those pinholes meant that there was not room for picots. However, next to the flowers, there are less pinholes, and picots seem appropriate.
The stitches between the pair coming from the flower, and the worker pair from the picots and passives headside, are twisted hole ground. This is the same stitch as the honeycomb in the flower. It means that the pair from the flower returns to the flower, while the worker pair for all the headsides remains the same. This worker pair does picots as well as cloth stitch, so will need a lot of thread. Make sure you wind on enough at the start!
