This could be used for a Christmas tree decoration, especially if you try some "bling" threads - sparkly or metallic. There are two different designs here, both using the same pattern, but starting coloured threads in a different place.

Bobbins: 12 pairs (4 red pairs, 4 green pairs, 8 gold pairs)
Style: Torchon
Stitches:
half stitch
cloth stitch
cloth stitch and twist
Details:
Torchon ground (red and green)
twisted footside
cloth diamonds (yellow)
Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
Another diamonds pattern, this time with the diamonds touching. Start the coloured pairs where marked, or it won't work. Work all the diamonds in cloth stitch, as half stitch won't work either.
Each diamond starts with two pairs which are the same colour. Choose either to be the worker pair. The other pair stays within the diamond as the middle passive pair.
