Description:
Follow the links above for explanation of how to work the different parts of the lace.
I hadn't realised that I'd tried a similar pattern before - pattern 310. This one has a narrower tape (and is more of a mess!) This version doesn't have an edge, so the sewings were a LOT harder! The threads kept catching in the pins, and sometimes I didn't disentangle them properly.
This is a learning exercise, and I don't recommend doing it yourself! My conmclusion is that I won't use sewings in tape lace in future. Also, the pattern really needs something running along the bottom to make it stronger. See pattern 489 and pattern 490 for alternative ideas (avoiding sewing!).
