This is in a series: pattern 310, pattern 488, pattern 490. This one is trying to avoid sewings (using a crochet hook) by having three separtate tapes, which sometimes join. This makes it easier to do, but rather boring to work cloth stitch across loads of bobbins in some places, and definitely a mess where the tapes divide at the bottom.
This is (still) a learning exercise, and I don't recommend doing it yourself! Pattern 490 is a better version, I think.
