Click on Start, Programs, and you will see a folder at the top called "Accessories". This contains a few programs which you may find yourself using a lot. They are:

• Paint - picture drawing and editing
• Character Map - allows you to write unusual characters into documents
• Calculator - speaks for itself
• Notepad - a text editor
• WordPad - a simple word processor
• Clipboard Viewer - allows you to see what's in the clipboard
