
This is one of a series of experiments to see what happens if we have a simple strip of ground.
Pattern:

Bobbins: 6 pairs (1 pair gold, 1 pair sparkly blue, 4 pairs red)
Style: Torchon
Stitches:
half stitch
cloth stitch and twist
Details:
double Torchon ground (grey, green and pink)
twisted footside (grey)

The 2 sparkly pairs are balanced. They stay on their own sides because it is double Torchon ground. This is, in fact, the same as pattern 3, but the colours give a different effect.
If you prefer, you can make both sparkly pairs the same colour, but then it looks rather similar to pattern 129.
