
This is one of a series of experiments I did in designing Celtic knots. The first pattern was pattern 153 and that has various comments about working these patterns, which you should read before trying this one.
Pattern 153, pattern 154, pattern 155 and pattern 156 are variations on a theme.

Style: Torchon
Stitches:
half stitch
cloth stitch
cloth stitch and twist
twist single pair (grey)
Details:
Torchon ground (grey)
twisted footside (grey)
half stitch zigzag and strip, and diamond (blue)
cloth stitch zigzag (red)
chevron pointing upwards (red)
chevron pointing downwards (red)
vertical edges (red)

This is a more complicated Celtic knot. There is two strands made of half stitch which goes through each knot. Then there are two other strands looped round it in cloth stitch. Of course, you could make the whole thing in cloth stitch or half stitch, or swap the half stitch and cloth stitch round. If you use both stitches, don't get them muddled up!
