American State Emblems

The individual states within the United States of America have state emblems. There will be a state tree, a state flower and so on, down to absurdities like a state muffin! See USA state facts for most of these. While makeing that list, I noticed that these states seemed more interested in some things than others. They had a particular interest in minerals. I suppose this is because of their mining heritage. I've provided links to my own photos where I have the mineral in my collection. I apologise if these are not the correct type.
