Why cook your own food rather than relying on ready meals or takeaways? Well, it's cheaper, you can make food taste the way you want, you can have better quality ingredients if you want, you don't need preservatives or taste enhancers or artificial colourings, and it tastes better (usually!)

I make no claim to be a great cook, but here is a few of my own recipes, plus other culinary ideas.
